How we do it
We’re proactive
We won’t do anything until we totally understand what you want and what you need. This includes project aims, technical spec, budget and timescales.
We dig deeper
To create a successful database, for example, we’ll need to understand your business’s process flow, information evaluation and report requirements. We do this with you to make sure we don’t miss out anything you need and that you’re not sold anything you don’t want.
We match-make
Whoever you need we find the perfect person for you. There’s no lucky dip. Our team have been employed by us because they’re good and they fit in well with our UK clients.
We keep in contact
We ensure the project flies along in the way you want it to. If you come across a hitch or a problem, we’re on hand to resolve it.
How we work in practice
We work in close partnership with each client as individuals. We believe in building relationships and feel that the best work is achieved by people who understand each other and enjoy working together. Here are some examples of how we could work with you.
Maternity cover for a web applications developer
You are looking for a temporary contractor developer to cover a period of maternity leave. The contractor must be fluent in English and the use of PHP, JavaScript and Ajax.
We provide you with a shortlist of CVs and you ask to interview three people, which you do via webcam. You are impressed by all three candidates, but choose the one you feel will best fit in with your current team.
Our candidate joins you for the period of maternity cover and slots in seamlessly. You have since also employed three more of our developers, each for a handful of days, to help meet three separate project deadlines.
Website programming for advertising agency
You are an advertising agency and need some back-end support for a website you are designing. Perhaps you have previously developed sites in-house, but when a client approaches you and asks for a site with sophisticated ecommerce capabilities, you ask for our help.
Working with you we identify exactly what kind of ecommerce site your client requires. We then brief our developers who build the site.
The developers apply your designs to the site, before creating a soft launch for testing. The soft launch is a success and the site is fully launched the following week, on time and within budget.
Database development for a graphic design agency
Your client is a company that supplies organic produce to the local restaurant trade. Their strategic growth and development could benefit from an intelligent database that contains details on customers and suppliers, ideally one that is sensitive to seasonal variations in produce and is easy to update and maintain.
We start by meeting you and your client and find out how the company operates. We make some suggestions – a process that you both take part in, adding your own thoughts and suggestions too.
We provide you with a draft database specification in plain English. You explore it and realise that you’d also like a mailshot option to help you increase your marketing scope. We add that to the system and send you a second draft. You okay it and we send you the final, fully operational system.
We’ve just finished a follow-up with you, where we double-checked everything was working ok. You told us that your client can’t remember life without the database and wonder how they ever managed before.
